MAX & ERMA'S FUNDRAISER

Tuesday, June 19, 2007

Once again Max & Erma's Restaurant and Peoples Church Preschool will team up to raise funds for the school. Look for the form to take with you (will be in your child's preschool folder soon). All you do is take your family (extended family members welcome), friends and coworkers along with the flyer to Max & Erma's on the 19th. Present the flyer to your server and eat to your hearts content. Dine in or Carry Out. Don't forget to get dessert to go! The more you eat the more the school earns. 20% of every check will come back to the preschool. Additional flyers will be available in the preschool office for you to distribute to friends, coworkers and family who may want their own food check.

Monday, March 12, 2007

Take your family to the Max & Erma's restaurant in the Eastwood Towne Center and help the preschool raise some money. 20% of the proceeds from the food sales will be donated to the preschool. You must have a flyer to present. Stop into the preschool office and grab a flyer to take. We'd love to see you there and appreciate the help.

KIDS CLOSET – SATURDAY, March 10, 2007
From 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon on March 10, the public is invited to participate in one of the most popular winter sales events in the area, the "Kids Closet" event at the Peoples Church Preschool in East Lansing. The event will take place in the Snider Social Hall (basement), where people can find treasures and bargains for their children. Thousands of items are available including sports equipment, infant furniture, bedding, toys, books, infant supplies, maternity clothes and anything for children ages birth to 12 years. “If you need something for your children, we will most likely have it,” said Dana Johnson, Director of Peoples Church Preschool. “But get here early before all the best toys and clothing are gone!” For those looking to profit from outgrown items and unused toys, there are a few options
:

1) Sellers can price their own items and keep ALL the money they make. Rent a table for $15 or two tables for $25.

2) If people don’t have time to organize, they can bring their items to the Preschool – the school will keep the proceeds and provide a tax donation form to those providing the items.

BUILD OUR BOOKSHELF 2006

Our 2006 Build Our Bookshelf fundraiser was a great success. Funds raised allowed us to purchase new four-seat strollers, video cameras, and recarpet and tile the preschool 2 classroom.

The Build Our Bookshelf 2006 campaign had a variety of events throughout the year in which the public and businesses could participate:

  • Little Caesars Superbowl Pizza Shuffle
  • Kids Closet Sale
  • Easter Bunny Pancake Breakfast
  • Silent Auction

Families and businesses were also invited to “Buy a Book” for $10, $25, $50, or $100, their names were placed on a Book and attached to the promotional banners at the preschool. They were also listed on the preschool website.

“ We are also looking to businesses and others in the community to donate items, coupons, or other special deals that we can use for our Silent Auction on May 25. This is a great promotional opportunity for local businesses,” said Johnson.

The public was invited to participate in each of the activities via the Preschool website, by calling 517-332-2885, emailing preschool@thepeopleschurch.com, or stopping by the Preschool offices at 200 W. Grand River Avenue, near the intersection of Grand River and Michigan Avenue in East Lansing.

(EAST LANSING)-----Today, the Peoples Church Preschool of East Lansing kicked off its 2005 Fundraising Campaign, “Shoot For The Stars in’05,” by unveiling a new website and publicity campaign. The goal of the campaign is to raise $5,000 by September 1, 2005, for new supplies and equipment for the children at the preschool, as well as to raise awareness about one of the oldest, and best, preschools in the state of Michigan.

“Peoples Church Preschool is excited with its new fundraising effort and we are asking the greater Lansing community to help enhance what we can provide to our youngest generation of future leaders,” said Dana Johnson, Director of Peoples Church Preschool. “As a non-profit organization, we rely on the parents and the public to support us. With the community’s help, this campaign will help us reach our goal.” The money raised will be used to purchase items for infants, toddlers and preschool-age children and their classrooms.
