There are
two types of programs offered by Peoples Church to meet parent needs:
(1) School-Year Classes and (2) Full-Time, Year Round Preschool.
(1)
SCHOOL YEAR CLASSES
- Provide
an environment which encourages and broadens your child's interests
and skills.
- Offer
your child an opportunity to make friends while learning to problem solve,
take turns, work and play together.
- Ease the
transition to elementary school by teaching your child to listen, follow
instructions, and abide by simple rules.
- Make your
child's preschool experience a positive one by offering field trips
and activities that are fun as well as stimulating.

Parent
Participation
- Co-op
opportunities are available to parents of children in all three and
four year old classes.
- Co-op
parents function as part of the teaching team under the direction of
the teacher.
- A co-op
parent assists in the classroom once every two to four weeks.
- Non co-op
parents are encouraged to participate in the classroom as their schedules
permit for field trips and special projects.
Convenient
Arrival & Dismissal for School Program
- Children
enrolled in three-hour classes will be met at their car and escorted
into the school by an assistant or co-op parent and
will be brought to your car after class by an assistant or co-op parent.

FULL TIME & PART-TIME, YEAR ROUND PRESCHOOL
Peoples Church
Preschool is an outreach program of Peoples Church of East Lansing. Our
purpose is to provide children with a quality preschool experience by
providing each child with an individual curriculum that is based on that
child's developmental level. Our preschool program helps prepare children
for kindergarten by providing them with an opportunity to discover the
world around them and to see how they fit into it. Our programs assist
children in gaining growth socially, emotionally, and intellectually through
play and learning experiences in a loving, caring and safe environment.
